Divya excelled in her academic studies, completing her degree in Law (LLB), and then progressing to complete her LPC to an exceptional level resulting in her achieving distinction. Whilst studying, Divya gained valuable transferable skills in providing high quality customer service in customer facing roles. This is a skill which has enabled Divya to become confident in building positive rapport with her clients and the stake holders of the firm.
Divya works in the Court of Protection department and recognises the immense responsibility entrusted to her, as she plays a vital role in advocating for the rights and well-being of those who have been deemed as lacking capacity to make decisions for themselves. Divya provides essential support to the Court of Protection team and gained experience in s21A applications which challenge deprivation of liberties. Divya’s role includes analysing documents, visiting clients and assisting solicitors.
Since beginning work in the Court of Protection department, Divya has been enthused by the complex needs presented by clients, and the positive outcomes that can be achieved through Court of Protection proceedings. Divya is grateful to be able to witness the life changing impact the court’s decisions can have on individuals and their families’.
Divya is keen to support members of the community, as such, Divya contributes to local food banks to help support her local community.
Outside of work Divya enjoys keeping active, to this extent, Divya takes part in Pilates classes which she feels help her remain physically healthy and balanced. Divya enjoys literature and spends time reading as a means of keeping her mind active. She is happiest when surrounded by loved ones, whether it’s going out with friends or cherishing quality time with her family. Divya enjoys travelling and exploring the world and remains committed to exploring even more.
