Henry Bee

Henry is a paralegal working in the area of Mental Health law; he studied Law at the University of Nottingham.

Henry previously volunteered as a caseworker at a Community Legal Clinic during his study abroad in Canada. In this role as well as in his caseworker position at the legal charity Support Through Court, he guided clients through the challenges of family law and civil law. These experiences led Henry to consider a career in law that would bring a positive change to people in need. Working in a rewarding area of law, like Mental Health Law, interests Henry because he is able to provide a voice to those would not have one otherwise.

As a Mental Health paralegal, Henry supports clients from the very first moment of contact right up until the point when a client decides they no longer need the firm’s help. Initially, Henry takes instructions to understand how the firm can best support clients on their journey. Then, he assists the firm’s solicitors with analysing reports and conducting additional client visits prior to their Mental Health Tribunal.

Navigating legal rights in mental health law can be very difficult, particularly, at a time when you are most vulnerable. Having been trained by experts in the field, Henry has developed an understanding of how best to guide those in need throughout the process. His experience with clients from all backgrounds and ages means he is ready to support any matter when necessary.

Henry is often involved in charity work with local hospice, LOROS. He has previously volunteered with the charity as a receptionist and now fundraises for LOROS through a variety of sponsored events. He is also always happy to support the firm’s charities and volunteer with local charitable organisations whenever possible.

Henry enjoys spending his weekends exploring the outdoors. Sometimes that involves hiking in the Peak District or going on a run with friends. Having worked in a summer camp in California, Henry also loves exploring the mountains. If he is not drinking local craft beer, he will be exploring a national park somewhere, or both! He often watches the best football club in the country, Leicester City, going to matches home and away with friends.
